Small Luxury. does it exist?

2008/10/17

Citroen by far has some of the most unique designs when it comes to cars. This concept is designed off the proportions of a Citroen C1. The C1 currently has an excellent look for an A segment vehicle, which shares platforms with the Toyota and Peugeot.

Unfortunately vehicles of this size are currently not available for the US market. Ford has contemplated bringing over the new Ka, but GM has been reported that concepts like the Beat and Jazz will not make it to the states. With the rising CAFE standards issued by the government, one would think that US automakers would be pulling in small cars they sell in Europe and Asia.

A simple size comparison. Now you would think if you were hit by an Escalade you would not survive.  How can we make this transition to small cars, without compromising luxury, but most importantly safety?
